Contributing a Recipe
You can share a recipe with the RecipesByScott community even if you don't have an account.
How to submit
Fill in the recipe — title, ingredients, and instructions — and submit it. You'll be asked to complete a quick bot check first; this keeps automated spam out, and it's the only hoop a visitor has to clear. You can optionally include your name and email so you can be credited or contacted about the recipe.
What happens next
Submitted recipes don't appear publicly right away. Each one goes into a pending review queue and waits for an administrator to look at it:
- If it's approved, the recipe is published and becomes visible to everyone browsing without an account.
- If it's not a fit, it's rejected and doesn't get published.
This review step is what keeps the public collection clean and useful.
For administrators
If you're an admin of a kitchen, pending submissions show up in a review queue where you can approve or reject each one. Approving moves the recipe into the public collection; rejecting discards it.
